This attack on the Bible is nothing new and has been happening ever since Satan convinced Eve to question God’s Word: “Did God really say?” (Genesis 3:1) Every generation for 6,000 years since then has had to battle this attack on God’s Word.
Today’s attack comes in the form of the relentless barrage of secular philosophical materialism, humanism, naturalism, and the supposed millions-of-years of evolutionary earth history. For the past 150 or so years, this secular worldview has utterly taken over the sciences. It dominates every area of our culture, from media and museums to schools and government. Sadly much of the Church has adopted this bankrupt philosophy. Her light is growing dimmer in a post-Christian culture.
Studies show that without being able to combat the secular attacks on Scripture, kids end up believing the Bible is just a book of stories or fairy tales. Many end up walking away from the faith and church when they leave home. Can you blame them? Who believes in fairy tales?
Yet those same studies show that when exposed to creation-science apologetics teaching, children grow up to have a thriving faith in Jesus Christ. They participate in the Church community and share the Truth with others (1 Peter 3:15).
